Cables - HV Cable

HV (High Voltage) Cable is used for high voltage power transmission. Special considerations are made in the design of the insulator to isolate the high voltage conductor. Insulator materials must not breakdown due to voltage stress and also control leakage current. HV cable also often utilizes a conductive layer between the insulator and outer jacket connected to ground to equalize stress in the insulator.
