Barometric Pressure Transmitters

A Barometric Pressure Transmitter is used to determine pressure of a gas or liquid. There are many types of technologies employed for pressure sensing. Technologies that use a piezoresistor are most widespread in use. In a piezoresitive pressure transmitter, a thin layer of semiconductor exhibits differential resistivity due to the change in mechanical strain caused by pressure change. Other barometric pressure transmitters correlate changes in capacitance; or electromagnetic or piezoelectric properties.
