Tig Welding

TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welding is metal joining process. In contract to MAG/MIG welding, TIG welding uses a non consumable tungsten electrode instead of a spool-fed consumable wire electrode. TIG welding uses an inert shielding gas to surround the weld pool and electrode from the atmosphere. TIG welding is considered to require more operator skill because the filler material must be added by hand but is versatile and can be adapted to a large variety of situations. TIG welding can also be performed without filler material.
