Axial Fans

An axial fan is essentially single-stage compressor resulting in a low pressure rise across the blade rows as the air is moved parallel to the shaft. Axial fans are characterized by the amount of air they move, the rotational speed at which they spin, and the fan static pressure rise. Fan designs are described by a fan characteristic curve which defines the fan performance at a given speed in terms of volume flow and pressure rise.
